One of the most popular beaches in the area is the Playas Las Gatas which is ideal for family vacationers with its calm and gentle waves. Also, this beach is ideal for scuba diving and snorkelling.
There are also kiosks in the beach that sell home-made ice creams, refreshments, and other mouth-watering local delicacies.

Apart from the breathtaking beaches, Ixtapa has other natural beauty such as the wetlands and the mangrove forest which have been well-preserved.

However, for those with limited budget, they can go to Elvira’s Playa la Ropa which offer affordable dishes which are mostly seafoods.
