Cheshire is a captivating county situated in Northwest England that has been attracting people with its historic mansions and houses, idyllic gardens from the countryside, and heritage sites dating back to pre-Roman Era.
In the northwestern part of the county lies Ellesmere Port, a town which has become the center of commercial trading. This place also has several beautiful parks which are perfect for biking, picnic, and promenading; boutiques and shopping centers; and a historic boat museum.
Another interesting place to visit is Cheshire’s capital town Chester which is situated near the banks of River Dee, giving this city a relaxing and laidback feeling despite of being an urban area. One of the most prestigious celebrations in Cheshire is the annual flower show which is held in Tatton Park in the town of Knutsford every July. Near this park lies Tabley House, one of the finest historic mansions in the Northwest of England.
Meanwhile, for those who want to visit a town which hosts several prestigious events, Nantwich can give them a genuine experience of how the locals celebrate the Jazz Festival, Food and Drink Festival, and Folk and Roots Festival. Aside from these events, the town has also been attracting tourists with its quaint streets and Tudor houses.
